For the background story, read:
- Red, White, and Green: The Orthodox Magyars of Transylvania and its relationship with Hungary in the 20th Century
- The Birth of a Free Transylvania.

As given in the links above, the whole scenario was about the existence of the "Eight Tribe", the Orthodox Magyars, living in the heart of Transylvania, having a complex relationship with the rest of Hungary; hence, the outcome of Treaty of Trianon would be slightly different than OTL. In the scenario, Hungary was divided into two: the Hungarian Republic, also known as West Hungary, with Budapest as the capital, and the Hungarian People's Republic, known as East Hungary, with Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca) as the "seat of government", as stated in the latter's constitution. In this case, Magyar Televízió (MTV) is the public broadcaster of West Hungary and its two national channels could reach 89% of the East Hungarian territory and 84% of its population.

The logo was inspired by its OTL counterpart, particularly the color version. However, the ATL logo has significant differences:
  1. The acronym "MTV" were rendered in the Hungarian national colors (red and green).
  2. The letters were encased in a semi-rounded square to symbolize a television screen.
