Escudo de la Provincia de Bohol

The province of Bohol was located in the Visayan archipelago, between Cebu and Leyte. In my TL "Filipinas: La Gloriosa y Más Allá", they're one of the first provinces to honor the heroes of the earlier revolts like Francisco Dagohoy in the middle to late 1880s. Boholanos were well-known as defensive to their self-identity and distinctiveness from their neighbors, especially the Cebuanos; in fact, they insisted that they're speaking a language distinct from Cebuano.

On the coat of arms itself, the eight hills represented the Chocolate Hills, while the two swords on the other side represented the revolts that happened on the island in the past.
