Related post: La bandera caviteña
The province of Cavite played a very prominent part in my TL "Filipinas: La Gloriosa y Más Allá", from the Revolt in Fort San Felipe in 1871 to the rise and (eventual, though temporarily) fall of Emilio Aguinaldo in the national political stage throughout the 1890s. Other than Aguinaldo, personalities like Mariano Álvarez played (or will play) significant roles in the TL. Of course, Cavite was the first province to upgrade the status of Chavacano language to being co-official with Spanish, then the only official language of the Philippines.
The provincial coat of arms reflected the strategic location of Cavite, its military importance, especially the navy, and its relationship with Manila.
